AstraWorks Hires Business Development Manager with Defense & IT Market Experience

AstraWorks is excited to announce a new hire: Ricardo Zamora has joined the organization as the new Business Development Manager. Relocating from Tacoma, Washington, Ricardo recently moved to the Kansas City area to accept this role. His experience in the recruiting industry is sure to benefit AstraWorks’s clients and partners.

We spent a few minutes getting to know Ricardo better and learning more about his past experiences:

Welcome to Kansas City! What brings you to the area and what have you enjoyed about living here so far?

We were living in Washington and were ready for a change. The past seven years we made regular trips to KC to visit friends, so in a way it already felt like home. The lifestyle and the people are the main attraction. The team at AstraWorks made me feel welcome and it felt like a company where I could make a big impact.

You have recruiting agency experience in the Defense & IT markets. How do you plan to use this experience to help enhance AstraWorks and our current recruiting efforts in the Power & Renewables industries?

I partnered with companies that are working on projects or creating products that are technically challenging. From a recruiting point of view the talent pool supply did not meet the demand. That experience relates well to the business at AstraWorks. The problem we are solving is the same – our clients need talented people to be successful. I look forward to learning this market, and perhaps bringing some ideas from my experience in Defense & IT.
